Kindergarten graduates

Admission rules for Grade 1 for candidates who are graduates of the Tęczowy Ogród Bilingual Kindergarten pre-school class

This is a group of children who have been our students since the age of 3. These children have priority in admission to the school. Several years of education in a bilingual system guarantee effective preparation for starting education at Warsaw Bilingual School.

Admission stages:
  • Group activities aimed at observing children in the natural kindergarten environment, conducted by a school teacher teaching Grades 1-3.
  • Opinion of the pre-school class teacher regarding school readiness.
  • Acceptance of the candidate by the school principal and signing of the agreement between the parent and the school.
  • Meetings take place in January/February and the detailed admission schedule is announced in September at the beginning of each school year.
WBSchool pre-school graduates

Admission rules for Grade 1 for candidates who are graduates of the Warsaw Bilingual School pre-school class at Tęczowy Ogród Bilingual Kindergarten

This is a pre-school class for children who wish to start education in Grade 1 at Warsaw Bilingual School but who have not previously attended our kindergarten. In this pre-school class, children are prepared and introduced for one year to learning in the bilingual system and programs used by our school and kindergarten.

Admission stages:
  • Individual meetings of the candidate with a school teacher of Grades 1-3 in the safe kindergarten environment.
  • Opinion of the WBSchool pre-school class teacher regarding school readiness.
  • Acceptance of the candidate by the school principal and signing of the agreement between the parent and the school.
  • Meetings take place in January/February and the detailed admission schedule is announced in September at the beginning of each school year.
Candidates from outside ZEW

Admission rules for Grade 1 for candidates from outside the Multilingual Education Complex

Admission stages:
  • Assessment of the child's readiness to start school,
  • Assessment of English language proficiency,
  • Meeting with a psychologist and teachers.
  • Decision by the school principal to accept the candidate and signing of the agreement between the parent and the school.
  • The detailed admission schedule is announced in September of each year and is available on the WBSchool website.

Individual admissions

The admission process for children displaying cognitive or emotional-social difficulties is planned individually.

Frequently asked questions

How large are the classes?
The number of students in a class depends on the size of the classroom where students spend their time. The average class size is 16 students.
Do students have their own classroom, or do they go to different rooms for individual lessons?
Each class has its own classroom.
Are after-school care and meals charged separately?
The tuition fee includes the cost of meals and after-school care.
Where and how are physical education classes conducted?
Physical education classes are conducted at the OSiR Włochy Center on Gładka Street. In Grades 1-3, one PE lesson takes place at the swimming pool.
Do students receive psychological and educational support at school?
Yes, in accordance with the guidelines of the regulation on psychological and educational support. The school employs a psychologist, educational counselor, special education teacher, and speech therapist. Teachers conduct remedial and compensatory classes according to needs.
Are students allowed to use mobile phones at school?
The use of mobile phones is prohibited at school. A student may use a phone in exceptional situations with the teacher's permission.
What dress code applies to students at school?
School uniforms are required at school.
Does the school have catering or its own kitchen?
The school has its own kitchen that prepares meals on-site, taking into account students' dietary requirements.
What is the teacher turnover rate?
From the beginning, we have maintained a positive atmosphere among school staff. For years, the teaching staff at our school has been stable. Changes are determined by personal and life circumstances.
Does the school offer additional activities?
Yes, additional activities take place at school (in addition to after-school care activities). These are charged separately. We offer, among others: dance, judo, programming, chess, music instrument lessons, and tennis. We reserve the right to modify the list of additional activities based on the school's organization in a given school year.
What are the after-school care hours?
After-school care activities take place before lessons (from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM) and after classes until 18.00.
What foreign languages are taught at school?
At school, students learn two compulsory foreign languages – English (from Grade 1) and French (from Grade 2) – from Grade 5, an additional optional language is Spanish or German.
